Hey Banditchick (I don't have to resort to name calling). If you know Matt Hughes than you know the best linebacker in Sioux City history. Congratulations!! I loved watching him play. Just wish he could have stayed healthy at Iowa more while he was there.
Also if you've really read my posts over the past four years and you're able to comprehend the English language, you would know that I've been one of, if not the most critical fan on here. How many times do I need to say it? Losing is unacceptable, but you have to differentiate between wins and losses and progress when you are trying to build a program. This franchise is working to build toward something better and if, and it is a big if, they can bring back the nucleus of this team with a few upgrades, the experience will pay off in the long run. If not, then can all of the coaches and players, but I look at this season as the first in a new era and I'm willing to give them more than a year. Remember Fred Jackson? It wasn't until his second year in the league that it paid off. I remember fans wanting JDs head on a silver platter thinking he was the cockiest most pathetic quarterback in the history of the game. The franchise gave him time and he grew into a leader. Yes, the losses are pathetic and I would hope for more. I hoped for more before this year when we had veterans returning. I knew this season would be long one with almost all new faces so I guess my expectations were not high going in. I'm sorry we didn't have a player with long hair who could dance around and keep you entertained this season. Maybe next year. |

Dont you mean BanditchickwithaDICK.
Must suck hating everyone and everything everyday.
I havent given up on the Bandits forever yet but I have given up on Bob ever becoming a decent owner who atleast could have a kind word to say to a player once in awhile.
We have lost ALOT of talent because of Bob over the years. If your so smart you would see that since you know so much about Bandits and their history. _________________ FRED JACKSON = SIMPLY THE BEST!!!
Someone said GM. I hate our GM. Who wants t ohave a GM who acts like fans are a nuicence?
Both the old Omaha GM and the Storm GM are great people, and I would be proud to have them be the SC GM.
Before you bash the coach about his assistance, you have to be sure he has a say in his assitance. I do not know wether he does or not, I just have a feeling he doesnt.
Insert "coordinators" for "assistants". Certainly someone should be running the offense and defense.
On a side note regarding the Storm, there was a good article in the Argus regarding their financial woes, large financial woes due to their owner's idiocy so there's good news on that front -- Sioux City doesn't have the market cornered when it comes to idiot ownership. |

Be proud to have the storm and beef gms hmmm both got fined this year for stuff. OH ya I want that kind of gm. Before a long road trip the beef hadnt gotten paid and the team said we arent ging anywhere til we get paid. yep ya i want that gm.
You may have issues with Bob, but we dont miss pay days, we dont get fined as we are always league compliant.
Bob can't play the games. What did Bob have to do with the Omaha game? We studied film, practiced, played and turned t he ball over four times and still damn near won. Funny thing is I never saw Bob on the field. Maybe Bob isnt the most fan friendly, but he plays by the rules set forth by the league. |

What did Bob do??Ask all the players who left everyone will tell you he is a ass.Ive sat by him at practices and all he ever has to say are smart ass little comments about players and coachs and Im not talking this year its every year....Who the hell would want to play for an ass. From what I hear the first game we won this year not a word outta Bobs mouth to the players...way to let them know you care Bob...He may pay his bills which is good but he sure could learn to appreciate the guys busting their asses for $200....maybe alittle encouragement or appreciation would be nice but that will never happen. And that has ALOT to do with players not coming back. _________________ FRED JACKSON = SIMPLY THE BEST!!!

Ok so Bob can be an ass, so he isnot touchy feelly. Heck I didnt think he liked me for the first 4 years I helped out. I can't do anything about who leaves for what reason. But I will tell you this, i would rather loose every game than to be involved with some teams and the way they are operated. I know every night that we played by the rules.
A long time ago I was at a JuCo, and got recruited to go to Washburn U in Topeka. Wow, we had game gear and practice gear. The Football team had their own supply of books and they knew what classes to put you in to get you grades so you could stay eligible. We had tudors, answers to quizes and tests, you name it. You could get vitamins, um like vitamin s. And I thought to myself, this is what it takes to win. This is what it takes to be a champion, to cheat the system. I left. I quit school and went to work in a packing house. That fall I enrolled at Wayne State, and I was not eligeble to play that first season cus I didnt have enough credits. The season I sat out, which would have been my first year at Washburn, they won the conference. Of course when you win the conference, you get auditted. Imagine this, they had played a variety of inelegible players, and had to forfiet all games that year. THe players had their championship rings and had to give them back. The next year I got to play again, we got beat by Washburn in Topeka, I said hey to some of my old teammates, and coaches. But I walked off that field knowing I may have lost on the score board, but I had won on the inside. I knew I had worked hard, and done things right. We lost everey game that season. My last college game we played UNI, and we got blasted 77-0. I gladly took that loss, and every loss, rather than to be involved in a team that I didnt agree with on how things should be done. |
